Role OverviewDirector of Integrated Business Planning (IBP) – responsible for leading forecasting, demand planning, and network optimization to drive positive financial results. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the IBP Director integrates IT-enabled systems with Commercial, Operations, Finance, and Logistics to optimize volume and mix across the enterprise.
Essential Functions & Requirements Integrated Business Planning Leadership & Execution- Lead the enterprise-wide IBP process, integrating demand planning, supply chain management, financial forecasting, and operational execution.
- Facilitate monthly IBP review meetings with cross‑functional leadership, balancing demand, supply, and financial trade‑offs.
- Develop and maintain forecasting models, dashboards, and scenario‑based planning tools.
- Establish and track IBP performance metrics, continuously refining processes to improve forecast accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Leverage digital tools and advanced analytics to enhance IBP processes, incorporating market conditions, customer demand, inventory levels, and planned outages.
- Monitor industry trends, customer behaviors, regulatory shifts, and competitor activity.
- Collaborate with Commercial and Strategy teams to assess market developments and their impact.
- Develop and refine statistical models to optimize inventory management and maintain high customer service levels.
- Analyze forecast accuracy, identifying trends and variances.
- Maintain and update rolling 18‑month forecasts.
- Develop short‑ and long‑range forecasts that balance customer demand with operational capacity and financial targets.
- Identify demand variances and align production, routing, and staffing strategies.
- Proactively manage risks to profitability and scalability through early detection of imbalances.
- Communicate significant forecast or capacity changes to Scheduling and Operations.
- Coordinate seamless information flow to internal teams and third‑party providers.
- Partner with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Strategy teams to ensure end‑to‑end alignment.
- Act as a key liaison between field operations and executive leadership.
- Prepare and present business plan summaries to senior management.
- Provide strategic input into capital investment planning, pricing strategies, and growth modeling.
- Collaborate with the COO, CCO, and CFO on supply, demand, and revenue forecasting.
- Manage overall waste allocation across the network, ensuring cost efficiency and customer reliability.
- Lead network optimization processes to resolve key supply‑demand challenges.
- Set the parameters for third‑party disposal agreements and partner with Procurement on negotiations.
- Develop capacity simulation models for sensitivity analyses.
- Feed constraint capacity data to Pricing and Engineering teams.
- Lead development of KPIs and performance dashboards to measure IBP effectiveness.
- Support executive decision‑making through scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis.
- Identify planning gaps or opportunities and recommend improvement strategies.
- Drive mix enrichment strategies to maximize EBITDA growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or logistics (required).
- Master’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain management, finance, or related field (preferred).
- 10+ years in Integrated Business Planning, supply chain, or business operations with exposure to waste, logistics, or industrial services sectors.
- Proven success leading enterprise‑wide IBP processes with financial accountability and executive‑level influence.
- Experience leading and facilitating executive IBP meetings.
