The Business Office Manager provides leadership over the financial duties of the facility including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, benefits administration and resident trust.
OverviewPosition summary:
lead and manage the business office functions to ensure accurate financial operations and effective resident services in a geriatric care setting.
- Provide leadership over financial duties including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, benefits administration and resident trust.
- Guide, inspire, and support the office team to achieve high standards of accuracy, accountability and collaborative performance.
- Maintain accurate documentation, record keeping, data entry, financial reporting and billing processes.
- Prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and manage multiple responsibilities with strong time management and critical thinking.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families and interdisciplinary teams; resolve conflicts when needed.
- Foster a comforting and engaging atmosphere for residents while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with departments, professionals, consultants and government regulatory agencies to promote unified operations.
- Work as part of a team toward the common goal of delivering excellent resident care.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Strong passion for geriatric advocacy and commitment to senior care excellence.
- One to three years nursing home accounting or business office accounting experience preferred.
