** Organization Overview:

Oversees development of Raw Materials planning and lifecycle management strategies in close coordination with networks, sites, planning, and procurement functions. Collaborates on sourcing activities and develops processes for supplier risk and relationship management across Manufacturing & Quality organization.
** Responsibilities:
**** Functional:
*** Responsible for overseeing the E2E raw material flows (data/physical movement) and establishing raw materials planning and lifecycle management processes.
* Represents Networks/Supply Chain in raw material discussions and drives strategic efforts with Development/Tech Services (platforms), Procurement and Manufacturing Network teams.
* Develops supplier management strategy and provides expert guidance on sourcing for new suppliers to meet unplanned demands.
* Responsible for collaborating with leaders to design master category strategy for high spend / complex categories.
* Sponsors relationship management processes with third party manufacturers.
* Collaborates in designing and defining Source to Contract process to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
* Establishes raw material planning and lifecycle management policies by analyzing and optimizing the procurement, incoming, warehousing and shipping strategies to align with the business’s goals.
* Manages escalations, drafts tailored terms and conditions, consulting with Legal Team Lead, when necessary, for guidance.
* Monitors manufacturing processes, provide confirmation on detailed scheduling and make changes to demand based on actual orders.
* Leads materials management processes including inventory target setting and tracking of all raw materials, consumables, and other purchased inputs to the manufacturing processes.
** Leadership:
*** Ability to address major risks and issues by identifying, resolving, communicating, or escalating to senior leadership when appropriate.
* Capable to successfully work in matrix structures and to lead cross-functional programs that bring value to the enterprise.
* Effective in performance management and talent development; skillful in motivating and growing leaders and technical practitioners, providing opportunity for career development.
** Basic Requirements:
*** Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, supply chain, or other related sciences (Master's degree preferred in the same fields).
* Minimum 7+ years of experience in sourcing & planning roles in a manufacturing environment, GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing preferred.
* Minimum 5+ years of experience in raw material planning and management activities, specifically material requirement planning (MRP).
* Demonstrated effective leadership experience with direct reports and executive leadership of teams.
** Additional Skills/Preferences:
*** Experience in Supplier relationship management within the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
* Knowledge of GMP policies and procedures and/or exposure to clean operations in regulated industry.
* Advanced skills with key applications for Program Management (i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project, Visio, etc.).
* Possesses knowledge and understanding of technical and commercial issues as well as efficient resource utilization in a multi-project environment.
* Demonstrated partnership with executive level management, requiring negotiation of potentially difficult and sensitive matters to influence policy making bodies both internally and externally.
* Ability to analyze complex situations, identify key issues, and develop effective solutions.
* Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a keen sense of prioritization.

* Location:
US, Indianapolis, Lilly Corporate Center.
* This role is an onsite role with onsite presence. This role is not remote eligible.
* Travel up to 10%, domestic and international.
