Senior Staff Accountant – Elkhart, IN
Location: Elkhart, Indiana
Schedule: Onsite | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: $65,000–$78,000 annually (based on experience)
We are seeking an experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join a growing organization in Elkhart, Indiana. The Senior Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger management.
This Senior Staff Accountant position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently while partnering with leadership. The ideal Senior Staff Accountant is detail-oriented, process-driven, and comfortable taking ownership of accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Staff AccountantPrepare and post journal entries
Perform monthly account reconciliations
Assist with month-end and year-end close
Support financial statement preparation
Analyze variances and provide reporting insights
Assist with audit preparation and documentation
Maintain compliance with GAAP standards
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
3–5 years of progressive accounting experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP
Advanced Excel skills
ERP experience required
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
