Snapshot

The Controller will be responsible for establishing and managing all accounting, payroll, and financial reporting functions. This is a highly hands‑on role for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves to create systems and processes while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial insight. The ideal candidate thrives in a start‑up environment, is systems‑oriented, and has experience integrating financial systems with operational technology such as point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.

What

You’ll Be Doing
  • Set up the accounting infrastructure, including chart of accounts, journal entry processes, and reconciliations for a new business.
  • Set up a payroll system, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Support the integration of accounting software with the park’s point‑of‑sale systems, ticketing, commercial and other operational technologies.
  • Prepare and post general ledger journal entries, manage month‑end and year‑end closings, and perform account reconciliations.
  • Develop internal controls and accounting policies to ensure financial integrity and compliance.
  • Produce accurate and timely financial statements and management reports.
  • Support cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
  • Partner cross‑functionally with Operations to ensure smooth financial processes.
  • Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and bank relationship management.
What Makes You a Fit
  • 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Proven experience establishing accounting systems (e.g., Quick Books Online, Net Suite, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of payroll processing and compliance.
  • Experience integrating systems with accounting software.
  • Comfortable executing both strategic and transactional accounting tasks.
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP and internal control frameworks.
  • Business partnering, communication and relationship‑building outside of finance at all levels.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial setting.
Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA a plus.
