We seek a highly motivated individual with business tax preparation experience, excellent communication skills and an active, unrestricted credential (CPA/EA/Practicing Attorney) to help our customers complete their taxes using Intuit Turbo Tax Business products.
What You Will Do- Help customers complete their taxes using Intuit Turbo Tax products with sound professional judgment and in an excellent and timely manner.
- Provide tax advice, full‑service return preparation, tax calculations, and manage product/software inquiries.
- Maintain sensitive customer, confidential and/or proprietary business information in a responsible, reliable, and safe manner.
- Utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to deliver correct answers in everyday language.
- Operate state‑of‑the‑art video communications software (Smartlook) to interact with customers (virtual, customer‑facing role).
- Assist Turbo Tax Business customers with tax advice, full‑service return preparation and signature, product/software inquiries, tax calculations, and filing tax extensions.
- Create high‑quality customer interactions that instill confidence through empathy and extensive knowledge in business tax preparation and bookkeeping‑to‑tax accounting entries.
- Apply defined practices, procedures, and company policies to troubleshoot and resolve customer tax advice and return preparation.
- Document customer interactions.
- Work toward meeting company key performance metrics and Big Bet Goals.
- Participate in pilot testing, projects, and experience validations as needed.
- Strong business tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws as evidenced by at least 3 years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120‑S) for at least 20 clients/customers per season using commercial tax preparation software.
- Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with a minimum of 30 tax returns per tax year in a tax practice or retail setting (strongly preferred).
- Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week across three or more days.
- Bookkeeping experience with books‑to‑tax preparation strongly preferred.
- Experience preparing business tax returns for service industry customers strongly preferred.
- Must possess or be able to obtain any related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
- Must possess an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
- Working knowledge of Circular 230.
- Proficiency with technology; solid knowledge of computer operations and software.
- Strong customer service skills – ability to interact with customers through video and audio tools in a professional, friendly, and confident manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking, problem solving, research skills, and determination.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to obtain an internet connection that meets Intuit Security criteria.
- Must reside in the United States.
