As a Controller at Topo, you would serve as a strategic and hands‑on accounting leader for a portfolio of high‑growth clients. You would partner closely with CEOs and leadership teams, while also supporting and guiding members of the Topo accounting team to deliver exceptional client outcomes.

This role blends technical accounting expertise, people leadership, and strategic thinking. As Topo continues to grow, Controllers have the opportunity to take on expanded responsibilities and advance into senior leadership roles.

• Lead monthly financial close and general accounting activities for portfolio companies
• Manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables
• Oversee and support Topo team members executing client engagements
• Partner with clients on budgeting, planning, and forecasting, including cash flow projections
• Research and provide leadership on technical accounting matters and evolving standards
• Assess internal control environments and design process improvements
• Document, implement, and monitor internal controls as part of operational accounting work

• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• A self‑starter who can turn ideas into action in fast‑paced environments
• Passion for working with numbers and helping people succeed
  
  Ability to shift seamlessly between strategic thinking and tactical execution
• 5+ years of experience in public accounting, corporate accounting or finance, or similar roles
• Strong quantitative skills with advanced spreadsheet experience and familiarity with Quick Books
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and evolving business environments
• CPA strongly preferred
