Staff Accountant
OverviewThe Staff Accountant performs accounting functions which include assistance in maintaining the general ledger and supporting accounts payable and payroll.
Job Responsibilities- Prepares and distributes weekly and monthly sales reports;
- Reconciles 945 and 1042 Federal Income Withholding Tax and prepares wire transfer requests;
- Reconciles balance sheet accounts;
- Prepares wire requests for weekly MUSL Commissions Payments;
- Serves as Back-up for Accounting Clerk for processing Accounts Payable.
- Bachelors degree in accounting, financial management, or related area, plus one (1) year of professional level accounting or banking;
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing;
- Working knowledge of GAAP;
- Strong numeracy and analyticalli>
Ability to organize and prioritize work; - Working knowledge of computerized accounting systems;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is a must.
