Senior Accountant – Broad Ownership, Real Impact, Room to Shape the Role

This is a hands‑on accounting leadership role in a single‑owner company where the work touches every part of the business. The company is looking for a steady, experienced accounting professional to take ownership of day‑to‑day accounting. The office is small, the scope is wide, and the impact is direct.

• Single-owner organization with direct reporting to the owner.
• Broad exposure across accounting, operations, and job‑level financials.
• Small office environment with approximately 10 people on‑site and 55 employees company‑wide.
• Opportunity to improve processes and shape how the role operates.

• Own day‑to‑day accounting activities for the company.
• Review payroll and handle payroll tax payments.
• Review accounts payable and accounts receivable activity and determine payment timing.
• Prepare journal entries and manage month‑end close.
• Work with Operations teams to close jobs and support job‑level financial activity.
• Oversee billing processes.
• Provide oversight to 2–3 accounting staff who report indirectly to this role.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is preferred; significant relevant experience will be considered.
• Cost accounting and/or project accounting experience is required.
• Experience supervising or overseeing the work of others.
• Ability to manage multiple accounting functions in a small, hands‑on environment.

Type: Direct Hire

Pay: $70,000 to $80,000
