BASIC FUNCTION: The General Cashier will ensure that daily deposits are completed and balanced on a timely basis, that cashier due backs are reconciled and returned to cashiers, and that a regular count of cashiers’ banks is conducted.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must have High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED).
  • College degree in accounting or equivalent business experience.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively.
  • Must have previous bookkeeping experience.
  • Must be able to work evenings, nights, holidays and weekends.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Consolidates and prepares the house cash deposit for the previous day prior to the arrival of armored car service.
  • Reports and follows-up on all cashier overages and shortages.
  • Balances, on a daily basis, the house bank and ensures that there is adequate change for the cashier’s needs.
  • Audits cashier’s banks and ensures that there is a signed copy of a bank contract on file for each cashier.
  • Reimburses employees for petty cash in accordance with company policy.
  • Prepares daily over and short reconciliation and distributes.
  • Prepares check requests for reimbursement of petty cash funds weekly.
  • Posts and adheres to window hours.
  • Prepares cash report daily for the Resort Accounting Manager.
  • Ensures copies of deposit slips are given to the Resort Accounting Manager daily.
  • Counts safe with the Resort Accounting Manager weekly.
  • Complies with deposit schedule as required.
  • Performs other related duties capable of being performed as requested by Management.
