Lead Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• 5+ years of experience in Deliver Fabric transition/conversion tasks (engineering-heavy): data movement, transformation logic refactoring, automation.
• Build and maintain pipelines (ADF / SQL-based ELT) following coding standards, parameterization, and deployment practices.
• Implement data quality checks, test plans, and release artifacts (RCA, runbooks, rollback steps).
• Work asynchronously: provide written updates, raise risks early, and drive tasks to completion with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate with the semantic model validator to ensure changes align with downstream reporting behavior.

• Bachelor’s or master’s Degree in computer science or related field
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong SQL and data engineering fundamentals.
• Python for conversion/automation (preferred strong).
• Azure data stack experience (ADF, ADLS, SQL MI/Synapse/Spark — some combination).
• Git/PR-based development workflow and strong documentation habits.

• Microsoft Fabric experience (Lakehouse/Warehouse).
• Understanding of Power BI semantic model concepts (enough to support validation conversations)
• Databricks configuration and administration.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
