Senior Full-Stack Developer

Delta Labs is a University of Zurich start‑up at the forefront of AI innovation. Our team combines scientific depth (PhDs in quantitative marketing, technology, and data science) with entrepreneurial experience (previous startup exits). We are pioneering AI Twins: intelligent persona simulations that mirror real consumer behavior. These AI‑native insights are transforming how businesses understand their customers, empowering them to make faster, more precise, and more scalable decisions.

We are in a rapid growth phase, building the technical backbone of an entirely new category in AI‑driven customer intelligence. As one of our early senior engineering hires, you’ll have an outsized impact — not only on our product but also on the technical direction and culture of the team.

As our Senior Full‑Stack Developer, you’ll work closely with the founders and core team to design, build, and scale our platform. This is a hands‑on role, but one where you’ll also help set standards, influence architecture, and shape how we grow as a team.

• Build and scale features across the frontend and backend, ensuring usability, security, and performance.
• Take ownership of key architecture decisions and contribute to the long‑term scalability of the platform.
• Develop and optimize data pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
• Collaborate with data scientists, designers, and product leads to translate ideas into production‑ready solutions.
• Help establish engineering best practices and support future team members as we expand.
• Stay ahead of emerging technologies and evaluate their potential for our product.

• Proven experience building modern web applications end‑to‑end.
• LLM API engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in React / NextJS and backend development (NodeJS, Postgre
  
  SQL or similar).
• Solid understanding of software architecture, APIs, and data systems.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud services (Azure, AWS, or similar).
• Curiosity and excitement for AI/ML applications (direct experience is a plus).
• Excellent communication skills, self‑organization, and a proactive, can‑do attitude.
• English fluency required;
  German is a plus.
