The Python Junior Developer supports the development, testing, and maintenance of software applications using Python. This role works closely with senior engineers to implement features, troubleshoot issues, integrate with APIs and databases, and follow established engineering standards. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, communicates well, and applies strong problem-solving skills in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Basic understanding of Python programming principles.
• Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git).
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Ability to write clear, maintainable code.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Exposure to web frameworks such as Flask.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Familiarity with the python-oracledb module.
• Exposure to parallel processing and threading.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will

• Assist with writing, testing, and debugging Python code under supervision.
• Collaborate with team members to develop new features and resolve defects.
• Support integrations with REST APIs, databases, and third-party services.
• Participate in code reviews and adhere to established coding standards and best practices.
• Create and maintain technical documentation as needed.
• Learn and apply new tools, technologies, and best practices relevant to the project.
• Contribute to team ceremonies and delivery processes (e.g., Agile/Scrum) as applicable.
