Project Coordinator / Software Support Specialist
We are seeking a Project Coordinator who will manage project coordination and team resource allocation while also providing software application support
. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, technically inclined, and enjoys supporting both projects and people. The position bridges project execution, resource planning, and application support
, ensuring smooth delivery and reliable system operations.
Project Coordination
- Coordinate and track multiple projects, schedules, milestones, and deliverables
- Maintain project plans, status reports, and documentation
- Support project meetings by preparing agendas, capturing notes, and tracking action items
- Identify risks, issues, and dependencies and escalat as needed
- Ensure projects follow established processes and timelines
- Track and manage team resource allocation across multiple projects
- Monitor capacity, availability, and workload of team members
- Coordinate assignments to ensure balanced workloads and efficient resource use
- Assist with forecasting resource needs and identifying potential conflicts
- Maintain accurate resource and time-tracking data
- Provide tier 1/2 software support for internal and/or customer-facing applications
- Troubleshoot application issues, review logs, and assist with root-cause analysis
- Support users by resolving issues and answering questions in a clear, professional manner
- Escalate complex issues to development or infrastructure teams as needed
- Assist with testing, validation, and documentation of fixes and enhancements
- 2+ years of experience in project coordination, software support, or a related role
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Experience managing schedules, resources, and priorities
- Basic technical troubleshooting skills and comfort working with software systems
- Strong Excel or spreadsheet skills (tracking hours, resources, and schedules)
- Experience using ticketing and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Service Now, Asana)
- Experience supporting software or IT projects
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project methodologies
- Basic scripting or technical skills (Power Shell, SQL, Python, or similar)
- Experience working with development or technical teams
- Experience with Public Utilities
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to balance project work and support responsibilities
