Electrical Engineer Intern

Responsibilities

• Support the lead Electrical Engineer and internal customers to develop electronic controls, PLC programs, and power systems for integrated vacuum systems and create designs for new products and improve existing designs.
• Design electrical systems for assigned projects, including developing the appropriate AutoCAD drawings.
• Work with production and field service personnel to assist with the application, analysis, planning, and potential debugging of vacuum systems.
• Familiarity with cloud integration and industrial communications protocols such as Profibus, Profinet, Modbus, RS485, etc., is a plus.

• Full‑time student enrolled in a four‑year college or university, currently at least a junior year, within an Electrical engineering curriculum.
• Broad technical background in CAD design systems, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, and/or electro‑mechanical design and control system development.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and pragmatic application of mechanical design theory and analytical skills.
• Ability to self‑motivate and work productively with limited supervision.
