Sr Systems Engineer

This position can be located in the United States, with preference given to people who live in Indiana and Michigan.

You will be focused on channel partner development and enablement for RUCKUS channel partners as well as customer opportunities. Performing technical demos, proof of concept trials, and technical training, providing the best quality design input and review, solution‑focused selling and positioning to all levels of decision‑makers, and delivering presentations for customers, partners, prospects, and events.

Must be a self‑starter with strong technical skills and industry knowledge, excellent interpersonal skills, a history or experience as a customer or partner‑facing Systems Engineer. Connect your future!

• Five or more years of experience working with IP/Wireless technologies.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills — verbal and written with the ability to bring together relevant information, optimally detail technical findings, and articulate them to senior leadership.
• A strong understanding of pre‑sales engineering and sales processes, including critical account management, with the ability to support solving complex problems.
• Advanced understanding of partner business drivers and how to map these to a customer network platform, including identification of improvement areas in network design.

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Computer, Software Engineering or a similar degree program.
• An associate‑level networking industry certification such as CCNA, BPIPA, JNCIA, Aruba, Ruckus, or CWNA.
• Possess a solid understanding of the Ruckus wireless and wired portfolio and related technologies.

• General knowledge of the following areas of specialization: VLAN;

  QoS wired/wireless; BYOD/MDM;
  PtP;
  Mesh;
  Wireless Controller Architectures;
  Wi‑Fi protocols and transmission, RF engineering, Indoor and Outdoor wireless deployments, Packet Capture/Analysis.
• Tools: WLAN Security in the areas of Authentication, Encryption, RADIUS/AAA, EAP/PSK, and Active Directory; RF polarization and Antenna signal propagation behavior, RF polarization and Antenna signal propagation behavior.

Our salary ranges consider a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to benchmarking by independent third‑party consultants, skill sets, years of experience, training, education, geography, and other business needs. Depending on experience, the range can be higher for candidates with outstanding experience and a proven history of successful performance. The expected salary range (base plus commission) for this position is $138,000‑$207,000.

The candidate will be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, life and accidental death insurance, a 401(k) plan, and participation in the Company’s Incentive Plan. Candidates starting with the Company will be eligible for eleven paid holidays in a full calendar year, paid vacation (prorated based on start date), as well as other leave options.
