We are hiring a Project Automation PLC Area Lead for a major pharmaceutical capital project in Indiana. This role provides technical ownership of PLC-based equipment and ensures delivery of compliant, aligned automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Own all PLC-based systems (including Lyophilizers) within the project area
- Reverse engineer OEM PLC solutions and redevelop within DeltaV
- Define S88 software structure and develop functional design specifications
- Partner with System Integrators to finalize specifications and implement architecture
- Participate in P& control strategy reviews
- Ensure alignment with GMP, automation standards, and validation requirements
- Identify technical risks, remediation actions, and track issues
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
- 8+ years pharmaceutical automation experience (API preferred)
- 5+ years Allen-Bradley PLC experience
- Delta
V experience preferred - Lyophilizer experience strongly preferred
- Strong GMP and computer system validation knowledge
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
