Automation PLC Area Lead – Greenfield Pharma Program (Hybrid Contract)
We are supporting a confidential, large‑scale greenfield pharmaceutical manufacturing program currently in detailed engineering design.
We’re seeking an Automation PLC Area Lead to serve as the technical owner for PLC‑based process equipment within a defined manufacturing area. You’ll work as part of a collaborative, high‑performing Automation Program team on a major capital project.
What You’ll Do- Own the technical strategy for PLC‑based equipment (e.g., lyophilizers, skidded systems)
- Reverse engineer OEM PLC solutions and support integration into DeltaV
- Define S88 batch structure and develop Functional Design Specifications
- Collaborate with System Integrators on detailed design, coding, and testing
- Participate in P& and control strategy development
- Ensure GMP compliance and alignment with automation program standards
- 8+ years pharmaceutical automation experience (API/bulk preferred)
- Background supporting large capital projects/programs
- 5+ years hands‑on design & programming with Rockwell/Allen‑Bradley PLCs
- Strong knowledge of GMP and Computer System Validation (CSV)
- Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills
