Our client is a leading multinational engineering services provider and general contractor who specializes in mission critical turnkey solutions. Employing over 750 professionals and delivering leading‑edge construction solutions across a range of key sectors including Data Centre’s, Healthcare, Life Sciences and Technology, Fire protection, Building Services, and Technical Support Services. They are currently looking for Mechanical / Electrical Commissioning Engineers to join them on a Data Centre projects in Europe.
YouWill Be Responsible For:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute the commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and BMS systems to ensure they operate in accordance with design specifications and performance requirements.
- Review and develop commissioning plans, method statements, and test scripts in collaboration with project teams, vendors, and consultants.
- Supervise and participate in functional testing, system start‑up, and integrated systems testing (IST), ensuring all works are carried out safely and in line with industry best practices.
- Monitor and document the commissioning process, capturing all test results, snags, and observations for review and resolution.
- Coordinate with construction, QA/QC, and MEP teams to verify that installations are complete, defect‑free, and ready for commissioning.
- Interface with vendors and specialist subcontractors to witness factory acceptance tests (FATs), ensure delivery of commissioning documentation, and support site‑based setup.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues encountered during testing, collaborating with design and installation teams to implement corrective actions efficiently.
- Support the handover process by compiling commissioning reports, test certificates, red‑line drawings, and O&M documentation for inclusion in the final turnover package.
- Relevant engineering degree (mechanical, electrical, or building services).
- Experience on large‑scale industrial or data centre projects.
- Strong hands‑on knowledge of MEP commissioning processes and systems.
- Excellent organisational and documentation skills.
- Good understanding of European building regulations and industry standards.
- A valid EU passport may be required for this role.
