As an Automation Engineer, you will design, implement, and support advanced control systems for pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment and production lines within a GMP-regulated environment. You will be involved from URS and design phase through commissioning, qualification, and validation
, ensuring reliable, compliant, and efficient automation solutions across new and existing equipment.
You will act as a key coordinator between engineering teams, production, quality, and external vendors, playing a central role in plant digitalization and operational reliability.
This role combines office-based engineering work with regular on-site involvement during commissioning and project phases.
What you’ll be working with- Siemens PCS7 process control systems
- SCADA systems such as iFix / WinCC / Xenon
- Integration with OSIsoft / AVEVA PI data historian
- Reading and translating P&IDs and electrical drawings into control applications
- Coordination between stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams
- Supporting plant digitalization and system reliability
- Strong hands-on experience with Siemens PCS7 in pharma/biotech
- Experience working in GMP / GAMP / CSV environments
- Background in commissioning and validation of automation systems
- Experience with SCADA and PI systems
- Ability to work closely with equipment, not only at architectural level
- Engineering degree in Automation / Electrical / similar
- Fluent English and German
