Traveling Superintendent

Position Overview

A growing commercial general contractor is seeking a Traveling Superintendent to lead ground-up and renovation projects in the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) sector
. This role is responsible for on-site construction management
, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within quality standards.

Projects typically range from 60–90 day builds and involve nationally recognized fast-food and fast-casual brands.

This is a travel-based role supporting projects primarily throughout the Midwest
.

• Manage daily on-site construction operations for QSR ground-up and renovation projects
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel
• Maintain project schedules and ensure milestone deadlines are met
• Enforce jobsite safety standards and OSHA compliance
• Conduct site meetings, inspections, and progress reporting
• Work closely with Project Managers and clients to resolve issues quickly
• Ensure quality control and adherence to construction plans
• Manage jobsite logistics, materials, and scheduling

• 3+ years of superintendent or field leadership experience
• Experience with QSR, retail, or fast-paced commercial construction
• Ability to manage fast-track projects (60–90 day schedules)
• Strong understanding of construction scheduling, safety, and subcontractor coordination
• Willingness to travel regularly for projects

• Ground-up restaurant or retail construction experience
• Experience managing multiple rapid-turnover projects
