Deputy Manager - Lead Transportation

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee transportation operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective movement of goods across the exim yard and associated logistics networks.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize transportation efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
Manage exim yard operations, ensuring compliance with operational standards and alignment with business objectives.
Coordinate with warehouse operations to ensure seamless integration and synchronization of transportation and storage activities.
Monitor and analyze transportation performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of transportation activities with customer requirements and business goals.
Drive the adoption of technology and digital tools to enhance transportation planning, tracking, and reporting.
Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards in all transportation activities.
Provide leadership and guidance to the transportation team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Support strategic initiatives and projects within the Logistics business unit, contributing to the overall growth and success of APSEZ.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications & Experience

Minimum of 15 years of experience in transportation management, with a focus on exim yard and warehouse operations.
Proven track record of leading transportation teams and delivering measurable results in a logistics environment.
In-depth knowledge of transportation planning, execution, and optimization strategies.

Educational Background

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
