Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Fleet Executive at Globe Line Shipping for Hyderabad & Mumbai. The Fleet Executive will be responsible for managing day-to-day fleet operations, coordinating drivers and transporters, overseeing export documentation, and ensuring timely and cost-effective freight forwarding services. The role requires efficient communication and collaboration with internal teams and external partners to maintain smooth operations.

Responsibilities:

1.
Fleet Management:

· Manage and oversee the company's fleet of vehicles for various operational activities.

· Inspire and enforce discipline among drivers and staff, ensuring punctuality, honesty, and adherence to safety standards and company policies.

· Conduct periodic pre-trip and post-trip inspections using set checklists to ensure vehicle roadworthiness, load accuracy, and stability.

2.
Vehicle Maintenance & Management:

· Coordinate regular maintenance, repairs, and servicing of vehicles.

· Maintain records of vehicle health, repair costs, and maintenance schedules.

· Ensure all vehicles are adequately insured and compliant with regulatory standards.

· Address and manage all types of vehicle breakdowns, including enroute emergencies (24/7).

· Coordinate with OEM call centers, workshops, and showrooms to resolve issues and get vehicles back on the road swiftly.

3.
Fuel & DEF Management:

· Monitor fuel and DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) usage, mileage, and related expenses.

· Analyze consumption patterns and identify optimization opportunities to enhance financial and operational performance.

4.
Driver & Staff Management:

· Recruit, train, and supervise drivers.

· Ensure adherence to traffic regulations, safety protocols, and company guidelines.

· Analyze drivers' performance, including driving history, and provide training for safer driving practices.

· Serve as the point of contact for resolving driver concerns, including pay, leaves, and on-road repairs.

Reporting & Documentation:

· Prepare and maintain comprehensive reports, including:

· Vehicle inspection summaries (pre-trip and post-trip).

· Fuel usage reports (consumption, mileage, and expenses).

· Incident reports (accidents, damages, or safety violations).

· Maintenance updates and schedules.

· Driver performance evaluations.

· Fleet utilization analyses.

· Cost analyses (repair costs, fuel expenses, and other operational costs).

· Safety and compliance records.

Skills,

Qualifications & Requirements:

Educational

Qualifications:

· Diploma (3 years) or BE/BTech in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering with 4–5 years of experience in vehicle fleet management.

· Candidates with logistics management or related field experience are highly preferred.

· Hands-on experience in team management with strong operational metrics.

· Familiarity with record-keeping and documentation in an operations context.

· Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel and Word).

· Ability to draft and respond to emails effectively and promptly.

Language

Skills:

· Excellent communication skills in Hindi, English, Marathi for Mumbai

· Excellent communication skills in Hindi, English, Telugu for Hyderabad

Position Type:  This is a full-time role based at Hyderabad & Mumbai, Should be ready to support 24 hours and ready to travel as per the job requirement. And must be flexible for all the shift (day / night).
