Technician - Mechanical

Location: Prakāshamnagar

Sodexo is seeking a skilled and diligent  Technician - Mechanical  to join our team. This role is responsible for the  maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment  within our facilities or client sites. The ideal candidate will ensure optimal operational efficiency, minimize downtime, and adhere to all safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Preventive Maintenance:  Conduct routine preventive maintenance on various mechanical systems and equipment to ensure their longevity and efficient operation.
Troubleshooting & Repair:  Diagnose mechanical issues, perform timely repairs, and replace defective parts to restore equipment functionality.
Installation & Setup:  Assist with the installation and setup of new mechanical equipment as required, ensuring proper functioning upon deployment.
Performance Monitoring:  Monitor the performance of mechanical systems, identify potential problems, and implement proactive solutions to prevent breakdowns.
Documentation:  Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repair, and inspection activities, including parts used and time spent.
Safety & Compliance:  Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, company policies, and industry regulations during all mechanical tasks.

Collaboration:

Work effectively with other technicians, engineers, and operational staff to resolve complex issues and ensure seamless facility operations.
Inventory Management:  Assist in managing the inventory of mechanical spare parts and tools, reporting needs or discrepancies.
Continuous Improvement:  Identify opportunities for improving mechanical processes, efficiency, and reliability.

Qualifications:

Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and tools.
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults.
Familiarity with preventive maintenance best practices.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills to coordinate with colleagues and report effectively.
