Purchase & Store Supervisor

– Job Description

Position:  Purchase & Store Supervisor

Department:  Purchase & Stores

Reports To:

Admin Manager / Plant Head

Key Responsibilities

Handle daily purchase of raw material, consumables and spares.
Prepare and follow up purchase orders (PO).
Coordinate with suppliers for timely material delivery.
Maintain store inward, outward and stock registers.
Ensure proper material storage, labeling and FIFO system.
Issue materials as per requisition and production requirement.
Maintain daily stock, minimum stock levels and reorder planning.
Coordinate with Accounts for GRN and bill verification.
Maintain store housekeeping and safety compliance.

Quality & Safety

Ensure correct material receipt as per PO and specification.
Follow safe material handling and storage procedures.
Support audits and stock verification activities.

Cost & Efficiency

Control inventory cost and avoid overstock/shortage.
Reduce material wastage and pilferage.
Support vendor development and cost saving initiatives.

Required Skills & Competencies

Knowledge of purchase and store operations.
Basic knowledge of material codes, inventory control and FIFO.
MS Excel and basic ERP knowledge.
Good documentation and coordination skills.
Vendor communication and negotiation skills.

Qualification & Experience

Diploma / Graduate (Any stream, preferably Mechanical).
0 to 2 years experience in purchase/store operations.

Salary & Benefits

Salary Range: 19,000 to 23,500 per month (Based on experience & skill)
