Position: Maintenance Shift Incharge (Assembly Shop)
Location: Nirthān

Job Role:

To ensure the continuous and efficient operation of all assembly shop equipment by leading the shift maintenance team, responding to breakdowns, executing preventive maintenance, and supporting production targets without compromising on safety and quality.

Job Responsibilities:

. Supervise all maintenance activities during the assigned shift.
. Ensure quick resolution of equipment breakdowns with minimal downtime.
. Coordinate with production and quality teams to align maintenance work with production schedules.
. Execute planned preventive maintenance (PM) as per schedule for all assembly shop equipment (e.g. conveyors, tightening tools, robots, fixtures, sensors).
. Monitor equipment health using predictive maintenance tools (vibration, thermal, etc.).
. Ensure all checklists and PM records are updated and reviewed.
. Allocate and monitor daily tasks to maintenance personnel.
. Train and mentor team members on troubleshooting, safety, and best practices.
. Conduct toolbox talks and ensure shift handover is properly documented.
. Ensure critical spares and consumables are available in the shift.
. Coordinate with the stores team to replenish spares in time.
. Maintain tools and diagnostic equipment in working condition.
. Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures.
. Immediately address any unsafe conditions or practices.
. Ensure shift logbook are maintained and updated on shift basis
. Participate in Kaizens, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and CAPA for repetitive failures.
. Support digitalization initiatives like CMMS, IIoT-based monitoring, and OEE tracking.

Competencies /

Skills:

Functional/Technical:
. Strong knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, Mitsubishi PLCs, Servo drives,VFDFriction drives system, Conveyors, Low capacity servo press,tightening systems, Filling equipment, Vehicle inspection equipments like Wheel alignment, Side slip tester, brake tester, DSBS, Drum tester, Head lamp tester, Turning tester and emission tester and automation
. Familiarity with Digitalization, Predictive Maintenance techniques, 5S, and Lean Maintenance
.

Experience with robots (FANUC, Yaskawa, etc.) and vision systems is a plus
. Good communication and shift coordination ability
