Job Description:

The Material Handling position involves overseeing the movement, storage, control, and protection of materials and products throughout the manufacturing process and supply chain. The individual will be responsible for ensuring that materials are moved safely and efficiently across various locations, coordinating with different departments to maintain optimal inventory levels and streamline operations. This role may also include operating material handling equipment, conducting regular inspections, and maintaining accurate records of inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and supplies within the facility.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols during all material handling processes.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and report discrepancies to management.
- Collaborate with production and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials to production lines.
- Assist in the development of efficient material handling procedures.
- Train new employees on material handling best practices and safety procedures.

Skills and

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in material handling is a plus.
- Proven experience in a material handling or warehouse environment.
- Strong understanding of inventory management and supply chain principles.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.
