About the Company  Motilal Napnig Engineering Works Pvt. Ltd. is a reputed  ASME-compliant engineering and manufacturing company , specializing in dish ends, heavy fabrication, and pressure vessel manufacturing for industrial and process industries.

Role Overview  We are looking for a  hands-on Production Engineer  to manage day-to-day  shop floor operations  for dish end manufacturing, heavy fabrication, and pressure vessel production.
The role requires strong execution capability, coordination with cross-functional teams, manpower control, and strict adherence to  quality, safety, and delivery timelines .
This position is ideal for professionals who enjoy  shop-floor leadership and production ownership  in a heavy engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities  Shop Floor Production Execution   Execute production activities as per  approved drawings, route cards, and production plans
Supervise  dish end forming processes  including cold forming, hot forming, pressing, and spinning
Manage fabrication activities such as  plate rolling, shell assembly, fit-up, welding, and alignment
Monitor pressure vessel assembly including  nozzle fitment, internals, and dimensional control
Welding & Process Control   Ensure welding is performed as per  approved WPS, welding sequences, and ASME requirements
Coordinate with welding supervisors and ensure  proper welder deployment
Control welding consumables,  preheat, inter-pass temperature, distortion, and rework
Planning & Cross-Functional Coordination   Coordinate with  QA/QC  for stage inspections, NDT activities, and hold points
Coordinate with  Stores  for timely availability of raw materials, consumables, and bought-out items
Work closely with  Planning and Dispatch  teams to meet committed delivery schedules
Manpower & Machine Management   Allocate manpower and machines based on  production priorities
Monitor  productivity, shift-wise output, overtime, and efficiency
Ensure optimum utilization of  presses, rollers, welding machines, cranes, and handling equipment
Quality, Safety & Housekeeping   Ensure compliance with  ASME codes, ITPs, and quality procedures
Enforce  safety norms, PPE usage, and safe working practices
Maintain strong  shop floor discipline, housekeeping, and 5S standards
Inspection, Testing & Documentation   Support  in-process inspections, dimensional checks, and NDT activities
Assist during  hydrostatic and pneumatic testing  of pressure vessels
Ensure closure of  punch points and inspection observations
Maintain daily  production reports, welding progress, repairs, and rework records
Support preparation of  production documentation and Manufacturing Data Books (MDBs)
Qualifications & Experience    BE / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
3–8 years  experience in  dish ends, heavy fabrication, or pressure vessel manufacturing
Strong understanding of  fabrication drawings, welding processes, and shop-floor practices
