Role Summary

The CNC Machine Operator will be responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining CNC machines used in furniture manufacturing. The role ensures accurate machining of wood, MDF, plywood, and related materials as per drawings and production requirements while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Operate CNC machines for cutting, routing, drilling, and shaping furniture components.
Set up machines according to job requirements, drawings, and specifications.
Read and interpret technical drawings, CNC programs, and work instructions.
Load raw materials and monitor machine operations to ensure accuracy and quality.
Perform routine machine checks, minor troubleshooting, and basic maintenance.
Ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish as per quality standards.
Identify defects, machine issues, or deviations and report to the supervisor.
Maintain production records, job logs, and material usage reports.
Follow safety procedures and ensure proper use of PPE at all times.

Key Skills Competencies

Hands-on experience operating CNC machines in furniture or woodworking units.
Knowledge of CNC programming basics, tooling, and machine settings.
Familiarity with materials like MDF, plywood, solid wood, laminates, and boards.
Ability to read production drawings and CAD/CAM outputs.
Attention to detail and quality orientation.
Basic knowledge of machine maintenance and safety practices.

Qualifications Experience

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, CNC Machining, or relevant trade.
2-5 years of experience as a CNC Machine Operator in furniture manufacturing.

Experience with routers, panel processing, or nesting machines is preferred.

Preferred (Added Advantage)

Experience with CAD/CAM software related to CNC operations.
Exposure to modular furniture or mass production environments.
