Job Summary The Assembly Technician will be responsible for assembling Lithium-ion battery packs as per defined SOPs, quality standards, and safety guidelines. The role involves cell grading, sorting, welding, pack assembly, wiring, testing, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities Battery & Cell Handling - Perform cell sorting, grading, and matching based on capacity, IR, and voltage.

- Handle Li-ion cells safely as per handling guidelines. Assembly Operations - Assemble battery modules and packs (e.g., 3S–20S configurations).

- Perform nickel/busbar welding using spot-welding machines.

- Carry out soldering, insulation, cabling, and connector assembly.

- Install BMS, sensors, protection circuits, and verify wiring.

- Follow assembly SOPs, drawings, and BOMs.

Testing & Quality - Conduct capacity testing, OCV/IR checks, and pack-level tests.

- Perform the final QC inspection.

- Record test results and maintain production documentation.

- Identify defects and coordinate with QC/engineering teams.

Safety & Compliance - Follow ESD protocol and fire safety rules.

- Maintain organized and clean workstations (5S).

- Use PPE and equipment safely.

Skills & Competencies Required - Understanding electrical circuits.

- Battery assembly, welding, soldering experience preferred.

- Ability to read wiring diagrams.

- Hands-on with tools: spot welder, multimeter, crimpers.

- Attention to detail and quality orientation.
Education & Experience - ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics.

- 1–3 years' experience in Li-ion battery assembly preferred.

- Freshers with a technical background can be considered.
Work Conditions - Cleanroom/workshop environment.

- Standing for long durations.

- Shift duties based on production load.
