Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Plant Engineer for our upcoming welding wire manufacturing plant at Halol, Gujarat. The candidate must have prior hands-on experience in the welding wire industry and be capable of independently managing plant operations, production processes, utilities, and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Production & Process Control:

• Oversee day-to-day production of welding wires ensuring quality, productivity, and safety

• Strong understanding of die making, wire drawing, copper coating, and spooling processes

• Monitor and optimize production parameters to minimize wastage and downtime

• Ensure proper handling and preparation of chemicals used in pickling and coating

Chemical & Laboratory Control:

• Perform and supervise chemical titration to measure and control pickling and coating solutions

• Maintain quality and consumption records and ensure consistent quality.

Plant Utilities & Maintenance:

• Supervise commissioning, operation, and maintenance of:
– Piping systems
– ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant)
– Compressor and Cooling Tower
– Electrical systems
– Mechanical equipment

• Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance planning.

ETP & Environmental Compliance:

• Ensure proper functioning and monitoring of the Effluent Treatment Plant

• Maintain pollution control norms and statutory records

Quality, BIS & Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with BIS standards applicable to welding wires

• Maintain documentation for audits and inspections

• Implement quality control systems and corrective actions

OEE & Performance Monitoring:

• Measure, analyze, and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)

• Track machine availability, performance efficiency, and quality losses

• Implement continuous improvement initiatives

Candidate Profile:

• Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field

• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in welding wire manufacturing industry

• Strong hands-on knowledge of production processes and plant utilities

• Experience in BIS compliance and audit handling

• Practical exposure to ETP operations and chemical handling

• Ability to independently manage plant operations

• Good leadership and coordination skills
