Looking for a 'fabric manager ' 12-15+ years of experience based out of kanchipuram for a leading textile manufacturer.
Priority will be in textile manufacturing origin
Accommodation is provided for outstation candidates.
Job purpose:
To manage the end-to-end fabric lifecycle for lungi production, including dyeing, weaving, and finishing. The fabric manager ensures the timely availability of quality yarn and fabric while maintaining cost efficiency and production schedules.
Responsibilities:
1. Accountable for sourcing of yarn, fabric, trims for garments, buying activities, price negotiations,
2. Set autoloom & powerlooms factories for company production requirements
3. Coordinating & follow-ups for job work vendors like dyeing, seizing, processing, and printing mills.
4. Maintain the seasonal fabric library
Follow-ups for lab dips, bit looms
5. Prepare & maintain flowchart for complete production flow
6. Prepare annual production chart with festival season wise
7. Assist with accounts payable on all vendor trial invoices
8. Visit to job work factories if required
9. Maintain raw material godown inventory in in-house & 3rd party vendors
10. Maintain good relationship with job work vendors
11. Lead r&d department and coordination with design team
12. Set quality standard and supervise qc department
13. Alert the team of any delays or issues with production, timing, or quality
14. All kinds of fabrics, trims, threads, feeding to garment factory
15. Daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, reports to ceo
16. Coordinate with finance dept for vendors payments
17. Conduct weekly meetings with their team members and improve productivity
Candidate requirements:
1.12 - 15 years of experience in textile manufacturing industries
2. Bachelor's degree, post graduate. Or be in fashion degree 0r texile manufacturing department
3 experience in yarn dyed fabric, printing fabric( discharge, reactive, pigment)
4. Complete knowledge of fabric construction, costing preparation for yarn dyed and printing fabrics, all types of processing
5. Completion of job in a fixed timeline
6. Latest technologies, letter corresponding with communication skills, excel, ms office,
8. Ability to multitask multiple requests and tasks effectively
9. Lead raw material issue resolution and troubleshooting of vendor-related issues
10. Ability to manage a team of associates (strong management skills) and provide clear and strategic direction to all team members
Key areas required
1. All types of fabrics sourcing, e.g.
- cotton & synthetics, printed & woven
2. All types of garment trims.
E.g.
- laces, buttons, zips, sweing threads, all type of accessories
3. Knowledge in woven plain, dobby, printed - discharge, reactive, pigment.
4. Cost of working for woven & printed fabrics.
