Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Hull Fitter located in L&T Shipbuilding, Kattupalli. The Hull Fitter will be responsible for constructing, assembling, and maintaining the hull structures of ships and other marine vessels. Day-to-day activities will include interpreting technical drawings, measuring, cutting, and welding materials, performing inspections for quality assurance, and collaborating with other team members to ensure structural integrity and adherence to project specifications.

Safety compliance and maintaining efficiency in operations will be key priorities of this role.

Qualifications

Expertise in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
Proficiency in welding, cutting, and shaping metal materials

Experience with various tools and equipment used in hull fitting and metal fabrication
Solid understanding of safety protocols and adherence to industry standards
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
Capacity to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Relevant certifications in welding or metal fabrication are considered an asset
Prior experience in shipbuilding or offshore projects is highly desirable
