ATHARVA FOUNDRIES PVT. LTD .is a leading producer of high-quality S.G. Iron castings, committed to excellence in production, quality, and safety.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Development Engineer to join our dynamic team and drive new product development and process improvements for SG (Spheroidal Graphite) and Grey Iron castings.

Key Responsibilities

Design new casting components using Furan Sand and/or Green Sand processes, ensuring 'First Time Right' designs with minimal tooling or dimensional issues.
Coordinate with the tool room/pattern shop to ensure timely tool and pattern development.
Estimate casting weights accurately and implement design-based cost reductions and yield improvements.
Support production trials and prove-outs, ensuring designs align with customer requirements and manufacturing feasibility.
Analyze casting rejection instances and implement corrective and preventive measures to enhance quality.
Collaborate with quality and production teams to optimize manufacturing processes, including moulding, melting, pouring, and finishing.
Maintain accurate documentation for data catalog, process sheets (WPS/PQR), and quality reports.

Qualifications And Skills

Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Mechanical, or Production Engineering.
Proven experience of minimum 2 To 5 Years as a Development Engineer or similar role within an SG/Grey Iron foundry environment.
Strong knowledge of foundry processes, including melting (induction furnace preferred), moulding, core shop, and fettling operations.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and understand various casting specifications.
Familiarity with quality control methods such as NDT (MPI, UT, RT, Visual Inspection) is an advantage.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., CAD, TCS, MS Office Suite).
