Job Summary
The AutoCAD Designer cum CNC Programmer Engineer is responsible for preparing detailed engineering drawings using AutoCAD and developing CNC programs for machining operations. The role ensures accurate design translation into efficient machine-ready programs while supporting production, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
AutoCAD Design Responsibilities
Prepare 2D/3D drawings using AutoCAD based on customer drawings, specifications, and production requirements.
Create part drawings, assembly drawings, and fabrication layouts.
Modify and update drawings as per engineering changes and production feedback.
Ensure drawings comply with ISO standards, GD&T, and company specifications.
Coordinate with production, quality, and purchase teams for design clarification.
CNC Programming Responsibilities
Develop CNC programs for milling, turning, drilling, and machining centers.
Select appropriate tools, cutting parameters, and machining sequences.
Optimize CNC programs to improve productivity, accuracy, and cycle time.
Conduct program prove-outs and first article inspections.
Support CNC operators during setup, trials, and troubleshooting.
Engineering & Production Support
Prepare process sheets, tool lists, and setup instructions.
Ensure proper documentation and version control of drawings and programs.
Assist in continuous improvement, cost reduction, and process optimization.
Follow safety, quality, and production standards at all times.

Qualifications
Diploma / BE /

B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Certification or strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and CNC programming.
Experience
Minimum 2 years + of experience in AutoCAD design and CNC programming (VMC, CNC Lathe, or Machining Centre).
Technical Skills
AutoCAD (2D/3D)
CNC Programming (Fanuc / Siemens / Haas – as applicable)
Knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and materials
Understanding of GD&T and manufacturing tolerances
