Job Summary The Purchase Executive will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring mechanical raw materials and engineering components required for manufacturing operations. The role ensures timely availability of quality materials at competitive prices while maintaining strong vendor relationships and compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities
· Procure mechanical raw materials such as  steel, castings, forgings, pipes, plates, fasteners, bearings, and fabrication  materials

· Identify, evaluate, and develop  reliable vendors and suppliers

· Obtain and compare quotations, negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules

· Prepare and process  Purchase

Requisition s (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO)

· Coordinate with Production, Planning, Quality, Stores, and Finance teams

· Monitor inventory levels and support cost optimization initiatives

· Ensure materials meet  technical specifications, drawings, and quality standards

· Maintain procurement records,  MIS reports, and documentation

· Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and statutory requirements

Required Skills & Competencies
· Strong knowledge of  mechanical raw materials and manufacturing processes

· Good negotiation and vendor management skills

· Working knowledge of  ERP systems and MS Excel

· Good understanding of  pricing, logistics, taxes, and commercial terms

· Strong communication and coordination skills

Qualification   
· Diploma / BE /

B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline

· Minimum   3 years   of relevant experience in procurement of   mechanical raw materials in an engineering or manufacturing company

Preferred Attributes   
· Experience in   capital equipment, fabrication, or heavy engineering   industries

· Exposure to   import procurement   is an added advantage

· Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
