Industry & Sector:  Food Processing & FMCG — rice milling, packaging and export. We operate production lines that convert raw paddy into premium basmati rice products sold across domestic and international markets. This is an on-site, production-focused maintenance and operations role based in India.

Role:  ITI Technician (Entry-Level) — On-site plant operator / maintenance trainee for rice mill production lines at Majestic Basmati Rice Pvt. Ltd.

About The Opportunity

You will work on mechanical and electrical systems across milling, cleaning, grading and packaging lines, develop hands-on technical skills, and contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Role & Responsibilities

Operate and monitor production machinery (millers, graders, conveyors, packers) to meet daily production targets and quality standards.
Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks—lubrication, adjustments, minor repairs—to minimise downtime.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults on production equipment; escalate complex issues to senior technicians.
Assist in setup, changeovers and commissioning of machines; calibrate equipment as per SOPs.
Follow plant safety, hygiene and lockout/tagout procedures; maintain clean, organized work areas and accurate maintenance logs.
Support continuous improvement initiatives (5S, TPM) and participate in daily shift handovers and reporting.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

Valid ITI certificate (any trade) and readiness for entry-level technical work in an industrial plant.
Hands-on familiarity with mechanical and electrical systems; comfortable using hand and power tools.
Willingness to work on-site in rotational shifts and follow strict safety/sanitation protocols.
Basic understanding of preventive maintenance practices and ability to record maintenance activities.
Ability to read simple mechanical drawings and follow written standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Preferred

Previous experience in food processing, rice mill, or FMCG manufacturing environment.
Basic exposure to PLC troubleshooting or electrical panels.
Certification or training in industrial safety, fire-fighting, or fork-lift operation.
