Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Land Acquisition Head for Suzlon Energy, to be based in Barmer, Kutch district, Ratlam, Kushtagi, or Anantapur. This full-time role is crucial in managing land acquisition activities to facilitate our renewable energy projects. The candidate should possess a strong understanding of regulatory compliance and stakeholder engagement within the renewable energy sector.

Qualifications and Skills
Expertise in land acquisition processes and regulations, particularly within the renewable energy sector, to facilitate smooth project implementation.
Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance to ensure that all land acquisition activities adhere to governmental and local rules and policies.
Proven ability to engage effectively with stakeholders, including government officials, landowners, aggregators, and community leaders, to foster positive relationships.
Capability in conducting comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential roadblocks (ROW issues) and devise mitigation strategies for successful land acquisition.
Proficiency in due diligence practices to thoroughly evaluate potential land sites, ensuring they meet all technical and financial criteria.
Excellent contract negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and agreements with landowners and other relevant parties.
Demonstrated leadership abilities to guide and manage a team of professionals in achieving acquisition goals on time and within budget.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to present complex information effectively to diverse audiences.

Roles and Responsibilities
Lead the identification and acquisition of land for new and existing wind energy projects, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Develop and implement strategies for engaging with stakeholders, including landowners, communities, and government officials.
Conduct risk assessments and due diligence on potential land acquisitions to identify and mitigate legal or environmental issues.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with landowners and other parties to ensure favorable terms for the company.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including legal, engineering, and project management to align land acquisition with overall project timelines and objectives.
Manage and guide a team of acquisition professionals, providing leadership and support in achieving departmental goals.
Oversee the preparation and submission of required documentation and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.
Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes to adapt strategies and maintain a competitive edge in the land acquisition domain.
