We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Technical Advisor to join our team in Guayaquil . This role is essential to ensure the correct installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of automatic shrimp feeders, especially Eruvaka systems. The Technical Advisor will be responsible for optimizing feeding system performance, supporting continuous improvement in production processes, and training operators on the proper use of the implemented technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Install and configure automatic feeders, with a strong focus on Eruvaka equipment.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues in the field to minimize operational disruptions.
Monitor equipment behavior and analyze feeding data to adjust doses and feeding frequency.
Train operational personnel on correct usage, basic maintenance, and operational best practices for automatic feeders.
Ensure strict compliance with established biosecurity protocols at each production site.
Prepare weekly technical reports including data analysis, KPI tracking, and training schedules.
Serve as a technical liaison between the farm and Eruvaka, providing feedback for continuous improvement.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
The Technical Advisor will be evaluated based on the following performance indicators:
% of operational feeders :
Rate of properly functioning equipment. Target: >95%.
Average technical response time to reported incidents. Target:
Improvement in Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR) :
Technical contribution reflected in the gradual reduction of FCR across supported farms.
% of completed scheduled training sessions :
Execution of technical training with farm operators according to the monthly plan.
Technology adoption rate :
Number of trained operators effectively using the platform and automatic feeders.
Compliance with biosecurity protocols during technical visits.
Timely submission of weekly technical reports with data insights and corrective actions. Target: 100%.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Education:
Degree in Marine Biology, Aquaculture Engineering, Oceanography, Animal Science, or related fields.
Experience:
Minimum 4 years of technical assistance or aquaculture production experience, preferably in automated feeding systems.
Familiarity with digital platforms for feeding control and monitoring (ideally SK360 and/or Eruvaka).
Technical
Skills:
Intermediate English (mandatory for reading and technical communication).
Intermediate Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
Experience with Power BI or similar tools for data visualization (desirable).
Knowledge of aquaculture biosecurity principles.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and results-driven mindset.
Effective communication and technical training skills.
Proactive attitude, autonomy, and problem-solving ability.
Willingness to work in the field and adapt to rural environments.
Job Location
Guayaquil, Ecuador – Must be available for frequent travel across shrimp farms in the region.
