Job Summary

The IT Manager is responsible for providing technical support, maintaining and managing the company's IT infrastructure, and ensuring smooth and efficient technology operations. This role involves supporting end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing network systems, and ensuring the security of IT assets. The IT Manager will collaborate with various departments to ensure technology aligns with the company's business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support:
Provide day-to-day technical support to employees by resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Respond to and resolve IT support tickets, providing timely solutions for technical problems.
System Maintenance and Management:
Maintain and monitor the performance of IT systems and network infrastructure.
Ensure that all systems are up-to-date with the latest software and security patches.
Hardware and Software Installation:
Install, configure, and maintain computers, servers, printers, and other IT hardware.
Assist in the installation and configuration of software applications and ensure they are up and running effectively.
Network Administration:
Manage and support local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and cloud systems.
Troubleshoot network issues, ensuring optimal network performance and security.
Data Security and Backup:
Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures to protect the company's data and systems from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
Perform regular data backups and restore procedures to ensure business continuity.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of IT assets, including hardware, software, and licenses.
Document troubleshooting steps, solutions, and IT procedures.
Collaboration and Training:
Provide technical training to employees on the proper use of hardware, software, and IT systems.
Work closely with other departments to ensure IT solutions meet business needs and goals.
Vendor Management:
Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for IT equipment, software, and services.
Evaluate and recommend technology upgrades or new solutions to improve company operations.

Qualifications And Requirements

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, or other IT certifications) are a plus.

Experience:

8-12 years of experience in IT support, IT systems management, or a similar role.

Experience with networking, hardware/software troubleshooting, and IT infrastructure management.
Technical

Skills:

Knowledge of computer systems, networking, and hardware.

Experience with operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and office software (Microsoft Office Suite, etc.).
Familiarity with network protocols, VPNs, firewalls, and basic cybersecurity principles.
Ability to work with IT ticketing systems and remote management tools.

Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
