Role Description
The Passive Network Engineer will be responsible for planning, installing, managing, and maintaining passive network infrastructure including structured cabling systems, fiber and copper networks, racks, patch panels, and associated components.
The role ensures high availability, compliance with standards, and optimal network performance across enterprise/campus environments.

Hansalpur, Becharji, Gujarat
Shift: 24x7 Rotational (Onsite)
Qualification:
B.E /
B.Tech / BCA
Experience:
2–3 Years
ITIL Preferred | OEM Certified Mandatory
Key Responsibilities 1️⃣ Installation & Implementation
Install and terminate structured cabling ( Cat6 / Cat6A / Cat7, Fiber Optic – SM/MM)
Deploy and manage network racks, LIUs/ODFs, patch panels, conduits, cable trays
Perform fiber splicing, OTDR testing, copper cable certification
Change RJ45 modules, IO ports, network cables
Replace network/electrical components (Ports, Sockets, MCB, UPS)
Maintain proper labeling and documentation
Ensure rack hygiene and coordinate with passive vendors
Support new site expansion, commissioning, and decommissioning
2️⃣ Operations & Maintenance
Conduct routine health checks of MDF/IDF rooms
Maintain rack cleanliness, cooling, and power standards
Troubleshoot fiber breaks, patching errors, and cable faults
Monitor structured cabling health to minimize downtime
Perform preventive maintenance
Test UTP/Fiber connectivity using vendor tools
3️⃣ Standards & Compliance
Maintain network diagrams, layouts, and test reports
Follow cable management best practices
Maintain asset documentation
4️⃣ Vendor Coordination
Coordinate with ISPs, OEMs, and contractors
Monitor vendor quality and standards compliance
Manage passive infrastructure during expansion/relocation
5️⃣ Safety & Compliance
Follow workplace safety standards
Ensure compliance with building and fire safety norms
Required Skills & Competencies Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of structured cabling systems
Fiber optics expertise (Splicing, OTDR, Power Meter testing)
Rack management, grounding & bonding
Understanding of LAN/WAN fundamentals
Ability to read network layout drawings
Soft Skills
Good communication and coordination
Ability to work in 24x7 rotational shifts
Strong documentation skills
Vendor supervision capability
Preferred Candidate Profile
2–3 years of hands-on passive network experience
Experience in manufacturing/large campus environment preferred
Immediate joiners preferred
