Quality Assurance Test Engineer

Location: Panjim

Duties and Responsibilities

∙ Test case writing:
Change Request TC writing:

- Review the updated FSDs from JIRA. Get clarification or updates from BA if needed. Attend walkthroughs with Dev & BA team for the CR. Draft test cases on Test with a signed off FSD. Get the same reviewed by respective BA. Oversee and review tests cases written by junior consultants depending on the product expertise and level of experience.
Regression / Client specific/ Issue based TC writing:

- Understand different product modules/ client business flows/ issue scenario functionally. Draft test scenarios & cases on different product functionalities. Update old test scenarios on the regression bank in Test Rail. Test case execution:
Execute the test scenarios in testrail. Update results accurately and reporting. Review the execution done by junior consultants.
∙ Train on different products and functionalities.
∙ Help mentor other testers with testing, product functionalities, tools, and QA processes
∙ Reporting and tracking defects through JIRA. Retest, monitor and follow-through on his/ her open defects for resolution.
∙ Understand and align with the QA processes and project / release teams.
∙ Communicate and co-ordinate with peers, seniors, and other department resources (support, development, BA & implementation) as needed to complete work.
∙ Installations and upgrades:
Learn and implement product build installations/ upgrades on QA environment effectively. Debug the relevant issues to ensure QA links/ products are properly installed. Co-ordinate with Build engineer for new setups, exes as necessary.
∙ Train new QAs & assist them on different product functionalities, tools, QA environment, build upgrades & maintenance activities. Assist in setting up/ debugging of QA environmental issues.
∙ Keep a healthy update and awareness of new and upcoming project work/ product releases within the QA department.
∙ Assist the lead QAs and Managers in test case writing and testing estimation activities.
∙ Timely update the daily task/ status reports and time spent on work.

Skills Required
∙ Awareness of the products and services offers.
∙ 4 and above years of hands-on QA experience preferred.
∙ Must be educated to degree level with Computer science educational background.
∙ Additional testing/ QA related certifications (ISTQB, Software testing diplomas) will be an added advantage. Ability to understand testing/ QA terminologies.
∙ Result orientated with good verbal and written communication skills.
∙ Strong analytical and logical thinking.
∙ Proven ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint effectively.
∙ Knowledge & use of JIRA, Confluence, Test Rail will be an added advantage
∙ Good interpersonal skills to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization.
∙ Ability to work both in a team and independently
Qualifications Required
∙ Graduate in Computer Science or IT Engineering fields preferred.
∙ Graduate in BCA or relevant fields with a minimum of 4 - 8 years of relevant experience.
