Role Overview
We are seeking an accomplished Senior QA Executive with 15+ years of experience in Quality Assurance within the financial domain. This role will lead a remotely distributed team of QA professionals in India with a significant physical presence in Hyderabad, partnering closely with global teams. The Senior QA Executive will be responsible for driving QA strategy, execution, and innovation across a complex ecosystem that includes both legacy applications and a next-generation redesign initiative.
The role requires a proven leader who thrives in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments, with the ability to collaborate effectively with development, business stakeholders, project leadership, and cross-functional groups.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
Lead, mentor, and grow medium to larger QA teams with varying skillsets (Automation / Performance /Unit testing).
Define, implement, and continuously refine Shift Left test strategies for both legacy systems and new applications to redesign projects.
Create one standard operating model across the organization to ensure consistency and efficiency in QA practices.
Build a QA Center of Excellence and leverage prior experience in creating a community of practice to foster knowledge sharing and best practices.
Ensure QA practices are aligned with organizational goals for efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
Develop and manage QA budgets, ensuring resource allocation aligns with project needs and organizational priorities.
Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary liaison between QA, development, Product and business teams as well as senior leadership within the business unit.
Provide clear communication on QA progress, risks, and outcomes to global stakeholders.
Participate and be recognized as a subject matter expert in internal firm-wide QA center of excellence initiatives.
Collaborate with product management and development teams to define quality metrics and success criteria for projects.
Execution & Delivery
Drive on-time delivery of high-quality releases under tight deadlines.
Establish robust processes for Shift Left test planning, defect management, regression testing, and automation coverage.
Oversee quality validation for mission-critical financial applications ensuring compliance with regulatory and risk standards.
Implement performance testing strategies to ensure applications meet required performance benchmarks.
Shift left by integrating testing earlier in the development lifecycle to identify issues sooner and improve overall quality.
Ensure comprehensive documentation of QA processes, test cases, and results for audit and compliance purposes.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
Implement automation frameworks and best practices to reduce manual effort and optimize test cycles.
Leverage tools, metrics, and analytics to monitor quality, efficiency, and cost savings.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and cross-team collaboration across distributed teams (US and India).
Integrate QA processes with CI/CD pipelines to enhance automation and streamline deployment processes.
Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously enhance QA practices and tools.
Qualifications & Skills
15+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and Testing, with strong exposure to the domain of financial services.
Experience leading large QA teams (80+ members) across distributed geographies.
Strong expertise in unit testing, and test automation frameworks.
Proven success in conversion of manual testing to automation for complex systems.
Experience with QA strategy development, test management tools, and CI/CD integration.
Demonstrated success in delivering results under tight deadlines and in highly dynamic environments.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to balance cost, quality, and speed when designing and implementing test strategies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
