Database Architect

Location: Prakāshamnagar

Responsibilities

Oversee the maintenance, performance, and security of SQL databases.
Conduct regular database optimization, tuning, and indexing.
Implement and enforce database security measures.
Manage database access, roles, and permissions.
Managing data pipelines and integrations
Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies.
Troubleshoot and resolve database issues.
Apply database updates, patches, and upgrades.
Assist in data modeling and database design.
Database integration from external systems.
Monitor database capacity and plan for future needs.
Document database configurations and procedures.
Collaborate with IT staff and provide training to users.

Requirements

Proven experience as a SQL Database Administrator.
Strong knowledge of SQL Server, (Oracle, MySQL, or other relational databases is a plus).
Knowledge of Azure IaaS & PaaS.
Knowledge of Data Factory.
Experience in data integrations or transformative data architecture to modern, or cutting-edge solutions that leverage AI.
IT Background and ITSM Tools:

Experience with tools like Service Now, Salesforce, Jira, and familiarity with IT metrics.
Experience in performance tuning and query optimization.
Familiarity with database security practices.
Proficiency in backup and recovery methods.
Ability to troubleshoot complex database issues.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Certifications in relevant database technologies.

Experience with Azure cloud-based database services.
Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Power Shell, Python, etc).
Familiarity with data warehousing and BI tools.
