Senior SAP ABAP Developer

Location: Prakāshamnagar

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced  Senior ABAP Developer  with strong hands-on expertise in SAP ECC and S/4

HANA. The ideal candidate should have solid experience in custom code migration, remediation, and optimization for S/4

HANA, along with a good understanding of clean core principles. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and modernizing ABAP solutions as part of SAP transformation and upgrade projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform  custom code migration  from ECC to S/4

HANA, including analysis, remediation, and optimization.
Utilize SAP tools such as the  Custom Code Migration App  to assess and validate compatibility.
Support  clean core initiatives  by minimizing core modifications and leveraging SAP BTP and in-app extensibility.
Develop robust ABAP solutions using  ABAP Objects, CDS Views, AMDPs, OData Services , and other S/4

HANA technologies.
Adapt custom programs to new  S/4

HANA data models , replacing obsolete code where required.
Collaborate with functional teams to align custom logic with standard S/4

HANA processes.
Conduct  performance tuning, code reviews, and quality checks  per SAP best practices.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members when needed.
Required

Skills & Experience:

7+ years  of experience in SAP ABAP development across ECC and S/4

HANA.
Strong hands-on experience in  custom code migration and remediation  for S/4

HANA.
Good understanding of  Clean Core concepts  and extensibility via  SAP BTP / Steampunk .
Expertise in  ABAP OO, CDS Views, AMDPs, OData, SAP Gateway , and extension frameworks.
Knowledge of key SAP modules ( FI/CO, MM, SD, PP ) and associated technical integration points.
Experience in  SAP upgrade or transformation projects  (greenfield, brownfield, or selective transition).
