ABOUT YOU:

As a Senior Scrum Master at Tribute Technology, you'll play a pivotal role in fostering high-performing software teams and driving the effective implementation of Scrum methodology within the organization. Your responsibilities will include coaching, addressing impediments, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, and contributing to the continuous improvement of Agile practices.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

The Scrum Master is accountable for team effectiveness, transparency, and continuous improvement. This role goes beyond facilitating ceremonies; it requires active leadership, sound judgment, and consistent follow-through.

Lead with a servant-leader stance, creating conditions for trust, collaboration, psychological safety, and sustainable delivery.
Facilitate all Scrum events with purpose and rigor, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective, and backlog refinement.
Ensure backlog health by enforcing and evolving clear Definitions of Ready and Done, and by maintaining the team board as a trusted source of truth.
Actively remove or escalate impediments that reduce flow, morale, or delivery predictability, including systemic blockers outside the team's control.
Partner closely with Product Owners to:
Use agile metrics thoughtfully to support learning and improvement, not judgment.
Coach teams using data, inquiry, and root-cause analysis (e.g., 5 Whys).
Maintain clear, concise communication with stakeholders.
Continuously inspect and improve how the team works, challenging habits and behaviors that limit learning or value delivery.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

4-7 years of experience serving as a Scrum Master on software development teams.
Demonstrated ability to lead through influence rather than authority.
Strong working knowledge of Scrum and Agile principles, with the judgment to apply them pragmatically.
Proven experience using agile delivery metrics (e.g., capacity, velocity or throughput, cycle time) to guide coaching and improvement.
Ability to connect delivery data to team health, risks, and outcomes.
Experience working with distributed or remote teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, concise updates to stakeholders.
Comfort understanding and discussing technical work with engineers and product partners.
Experience using agile tooling (e.g., Jira) to maintain transparency and flow.

PREFFERED

SKILLS:

Experience coaching teams through change, conflict, or performance challenges.
Strong problem-solving skills, including the use of root-cause analysis techniques.
Familiarity with Kanban and hybrid agile approaches.
Experience working in environments with cross-team dependencies and shared platforms.
Scrum Master certification or equivalent training.
