Junior Cybersecurity Engineer

Synersys is looking for a motivated Junior Cybersecurity Engineer to support SOC operations and help
secure client environments.

Responsibilities

• Support SOC operations, SIEM, and EDR platforms

• Assist in monitoring, triaging, and responding to security incidents

• Support VAPT activities and remediation efforts

• Help maintain security documentation, playbooks, and assets

• Work with senior engineers on client security setups.

Must-Have Skills

• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity or SOC operations

• Exposure to SIEM / Security Platforms (Splunk, Wazuh, QRadar, Rapid7)

• Exposure to EDR tools (Crowd Strike, Sentinel One, Microsoft Defender)

• Basic cloud security knowledge (Azure, AWS, or GCP)

• Understanding of VAPT fundamentals and firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto)

• Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Power Shell, or Bash)

• Strong networking and operating system fundamentals.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS

• Kubernetes, Terraform, or automation exposure

• Security certifications (Security+, CEH)
