Chief Medical Officer

Position Summary :

The OHC Doctor is responsible for managing the assigned Occupational Health Centres

(OHCs), providing continuous medical support to employees, ensuring statutory compliance,

and driving preventive and digital wellness initiatives. The role involves both clinical and

administrative responsibilities, including effective use of the vCare platform, coordination

with HR and Corporate Medical Teams, and promoting a healthy workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities :

1. OHC Management & Operations

 Maintain and manage day-to-day operations of the assigned OHC(s).

 Ensure the centre’s readiness with medical equipment, medicines, and records as per

statutory norms.

 Supervise paramedical staff and ensure effective service delivery.

2. Employee Medical Support

 Provide medical consultation, treatment, and first aid to employees.

 Remain available over phone 24/7 for medical emergencies and guide the team for

immediate response.

 Conduct virtual consultations for employees during working hours (9:00 AM – 6:00

PM, Monday to Saturday).

3. Emergency Management

 Handle medical emergencies efficiently and arrange referrals when required.

 During external hospital referrals, ensure adherence to company policy — including

admission under Mediclaim / ESI / Unnamed Policy, in coordination with HR.

4. Training & Capacity Building

 Continuously upskill OHC paramedical staff for handling emergencies, medical

management, and effective use of the vCare software.

 Ensure readiness of the OHC team to manage all occupational health situations

confidently.

5. Preventive & Promotive Health

 Conduct at least one health awareness session per month for employees.

 Drive health promotional activities to improve employee health risk categories —

from very high risk → high risk → moderate → low risk, through structured

interventions and follow-up.

 Conduct focused medical reviews and necessary interventions for abnormalities

identified during health check-ups.

6. Digital & Data Management

 Ensure accurate and timely data entry into the vCare wellness platform.

 Utilize digital dashboards for tracking health trends and employee wellness

participation.

 Support execution of digital wellness initiatives and online consultations led by the

Corporate Medical Team.

7. Compliance & Audit Support

 Ensure statutory compliance of OHCs as per the Factories Act and other regulatory

requirements.

 Maintain updated medical records and documentation for audit readiness.

 Support internal and external audits on medical and occupational health-related

points.

8. Coordination & Reporting

 Coordinate with the Corporate Medical Team for execution of health screening

camps, awareness drives, and wellness events.

 Provide periodic reports and updates on OHC activities, employee health trends, and

ongoing medical programs.

Desired Competencies

 Strong clinical judgment and emergency response capability.

 Familiarity with occupational health standards and factory medical requirements.

 Proficiency in digital platforms like vCare for medical reporting and employee

wellness tracking.

 Good communication, leadership, and coordination skills.

Qualification & Experience (Recommended)



Qualification:

MBBS



Experience:

Minimum 1–3 years of experience in industrial / occupational health
