Job Description
We are seeking a  Certified Medical Coder (CPC)  with  1+ year of experience  to join our Medical Coding team in Mohali. The candidate will be responsible for accurate coding of medical records while ensuring compliance with coding standards and payer guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
Review medical records, physician notes, and clinical documentation
Assign accurate  ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS  codes
Ensure compliance with  AAPC guidelines and payer requirements
Identify documentation gaps and coordinate with providers for clarification
Maintain productivity and quality benchmarks
Participate in internal audits and quality improvement activities
Ensure strict adherence to  HIPAA compliance

Required

Skills & Qualifications
CPC Certification (Mandatory)
Minimum 1 year of medical coding experience
Strong knowledge of  ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS
Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and E/M coding

Good analytical and communication skills
Ability to meet accuracy and TAT targets

Preferred Skills
Experience in  OPD / IPD / ED / Specialty Coding
Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems
Knowledge of RCM processes
