ABOUT
THE ROLE
The Academic Advisor role is a crucial part of LEAD's Excellence Team. This role directly works with teachers and school leaders to ensure effective implementation of LEAD's academic system in partner schools. Through training, coaching, monitoring, and collaboration, the Academic Advisor ensures student outcomes are met while helping to scale LEAD's mission of delivering excellent education to every child.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Experience:
4–6 years of experience in EdTech or other industries, particularly in B2B, institutional, or corporate solution sales. Demonstrated top quartile performance with formal recognition. Strong ability in sales pipeline management, lead generation, contract negotiation, and client onboarding.
Experience:
3+ years in academic support and teacher training, or 3–5 years of K-10 teaching experience (Teacher, Principal, Academic Coordinator), or 1–2 years of fellowship experience (e.g., Teach For India) plus 2–3 years of post-fellowship experience 2+ years of managing teacher teams
Experience in EdTech or Schoolteacher academic operations/consulting roles
Must be open to traveling 15–20 days per month
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree (B.Ed or M.Ed preferred)
Technical & Functional Skills:
Strong training and facilitation experience in pedagogy and curriculum implementation
Skilled in data-driven discussions and performance tracking
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and collaborate across large, diverse teams
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Build and manage a strong sales pipeline for customer acquisition
Understand school owner personas and align LEAD solutions to their specific needs
Deliver compelling product demos and academic discussions with prospects
Negotiate and close contracts ensuring mutual value and alignment with LEAD's mission
Ensure seamless handover to Key Account Management (KAM) and support operational transition
Maintain timely and accurate CRM entries for visibility and tracking
Collaborate with marketing for effective lead generation campaigns
Stay up to date on competitor offerings, customer trends, and education industry dynamics
Rigorously follow and contribute to the LEAD sales process
